PANAMAX
=======
In the Atlantic basin, tonnage continues to ballast in from the East, and with
new business still limited, rates are trending sideways or down. An LME fixed
Tilbury/China at $20,000 daily on a trip via Murmansk with redelivery via the

on
owner's resistance than any perceived improvement in the market. A NoPac

CAPESIZE
========
There was virtually no concluded business reported for the Capesize sector
today. There were rumours of fronthaul voyage business done in the Atlantic
at $17.45, but then came word the business was not fixed. Pressure remained, so
it seems likely that rates will ease again before improving. In the East, rates
appear to have bottomed for the moment, with the key west Australia/Qingdao
run holding at $7,05. However sources said that there is still a lot of tonnage
and inadequate amounts of new business to support the market for long. The Baltic
Capesize index fell 20 today to end at 1232.

continued to hold at last dones. A modern 50,000-tonner reportedly saw
$18,500 daily from EC Mexico for 2-3 laden legs in the Atlantic. The Pacific Handy
