Some new Panamax business in Atlantic

For the Atlantic basin, there was some new business on offer from the U.S.Gulf
and the U.S. east coast, however sources were quick to point out the ample
tonnage available for the business.  As a result, rates trended sideways.
 Tonnage lists in the Pacific continued to lengthen today, with fresh inquiry
lacking.  There was small interest in period tonnage today, with 12-16 months
said to have been done at $10,000 daily for end-July delivery China. The
Baltic Panamax index opened the week down 22 at 1134.

Out of the Atlantic came word that the 1998-built 71,571 dwt Esna has fixed
with an undisclosed charterer for August 20-25 delivery east coast South America on
a trip with redelivery Singapore-Japan at $14,500 daily plus a $500,000 ballast
bonus.

Louis Dreyfus has the 1994-built 68,636 dwt Navios Gemini S for July 21-23
delivery passing Muscat outbound on a trip via east coast South America with
redelivery Singapore/Japan at $14,250 daily plus a $425,000 ballast bonus.

Copa Shipping was said to be the charterer of the 1999-built 75,462 dwt
Seaguardian for July 25-August 01 delivery passing Muscat outbound on a trip
via
Santos to Iran with redelivery passing Muscat outbound at $12,225 daily if
discharging Jebel Ali, option $13,250 daily if discharge Iran.

The 2006-built 75,318 dwt Nord Orion will earn $11,000 daily plus a $400,000
ballast bonus from Augustea for August 10-19 delivery aps Houston on a trip
with redelivery Plomin.

A.C. Toepfer was linked with the 1988-built 69,734 dwt Irini for July
27-August
02 delivery Aarhus on a trip via the Baltic and Jeddah, with redelivery Cape
Passero at $11,000 daily.

In the Pacific, STX Pan Ocean was linked with the 2009-built 76,619 dwt KM
Imabari for August 02-07 delivery Gladstone on a trip via east coast Australia
with redelivery Singapore-Japan at $9,000 daily plus a $325,000 ballast bonus.

The 2001-built 73,311 dwt Anastasia C was said fixed to BHP Billiton for spot
delivery Lanshan on a trip via Hay Point with redelivery China at $8,500
daily.

For period business in the East, the 2005-built 77,075 dwt Navios Hellios has
gone to an unnamed charterer with end-July delivery China for 12-16 months
trading with redelivery worldwide at $10,000 daily.

Period business heard that the 2010-built 83,483 dwt KM Tokyo has gone to an
unnamed charterer for prompt delivery Zhoushan for 4-6 months trading with
redelivery worldwide at $9,150 daily.

For voyage business, SAIL took the 2006-built Iron Kalpyso or sub for August
10-20 loading 75,000 tons 5% coal from Dalrymple Bay to east coast India at
$16,25.

CAPESIZE
========

Very little new business surfaced from either the Atlantic or Pacific basins
today.  In the Atlantic, there was talk of a few vessels having fixed for
trans-Atlantic and fronthaul business, but details remained private.  For the
Pacific basin, the market was extremely quiet with a direction hard to
pinpoint The Baltic Capesize index lost 1 to 1275 today.

HANDY/SUPRAMAX
==============

Rates for supramax tonnage in the Atlantic trended sideways/downward today,
but much of what was rumoured fixed stayed private.  Handysizes managed good
numbers, with $10,900 daily paid for 1-years trading.  In the East, there was
talk of at least two supramax vessels fixing for China/India via Indonesia
business at $8,300 and $8,500 daily - but confirmation was lacking.  Concluded
business saw supramax tonnage fix to an unnamed charterer for spot business
S.China/EC India via Indonesia at $7,500 daily.  The Baltic Supramax index
fell 19 to 1173, while the Handysize index opened the week off 10 at 647.

The Atlantic saw the 2011-built 33,684 dwt CMB Kristine fix to an undisclosed
charterer for end-July delivery on the Continent for 1-years trading with
redelivery worldwide at $10,900 daily.

Pacific Handy business included reports of the 2011-built 57,320 dwt Wadi
Albostan fixing to an unnamed charterer for spot delivery South China on a
trip
via Indonesia with redelivery east coast India at $7,500 daily.

Also unnamed was the charterer of the 2004-built 28,554 dwt Ratu Tembaga,
taking
the vessel for spot delivery Singapore on a trip via Geelong with redelivery
Japan at $6,000 daily.
