Pirates attack MV Pacific Express


Pirates hit Cyprus Maritime’s 22,600-dwt (1981) Pacific Express, Tuesday. The 26 member crew was rescued after their hijacked vessel caught fire 180 nautical miles East South East from Mombasa, Kenya. MV Pacific Express is owned by Athens based Estelle Shipping Company Ltd and managed by Cyprus Maritime Company Ltd, also of Athens, Greece. The vessel was expected in Mombasa port on Monday to discharge 3.300 tons of steel bars and coils.
