Maran Tankers linked to SAMCO ASIA acquisition

Broker reports suggest Maran Tankers has acquired tanker vessel SAMCO ASIA (dwt 305000 blt 2003 S.Korea) for USD 35.5 million.

Reports also suggest a Greek player is behind the purchase of tanker vessel ST.PAULI (dwt 47149 blt 2003 Japan) for a reported USD 14 million.

In the bulker segment, Greeks have moved for bulker HONESTY OCEAN (dwt 47240 blt 1997 Japan) for a reported USD 8.25 million. 


Increasing production of oil and a raised demand forecast have provided further good news to an already firm crude tanker market and brightens the skies in product and chemical trades too, shipping analysts in Norway said.
