Maran Tankers linked to SAMCO ASIA acquisition


Broker reports suggest Maran Tankers has acquired tanker vessel SAMCO ASIA (dwt 305000 blt 2003 S.Korea) for USD 35.5 million.

Reports also suggest a Greek player is behind the purchase of tanker vessel ST.PAULI (dwt 47149 blt 2003 Japan) for a reported USD 14 million.

In the bulker segment, Greeks have moved for bulker HONESTY OCEAN (dwt 47240 blt 1997 Japan) for a reported USD 8.25 million.

Lion Shipbrokers report (W35) that M/T "PLUTO GLORY" (298,911 dwt, blt 2001 Daewoo/S.Korea, NV, 15 tanks, cap 330,573 cbm, Sulzer 7RTA84T) sold to Greek buyers (clients of NGM Energy) for $33.6 million.
Singapore’s admiralty sheriff has arrested a second Elmira-controlled chemical tanker latest court documents show.  The 11,747-dwt Liquid Fortune (built 2000) was detained on the orders of lawyers from Rodyk & Davison.
