Bulk carrier "Chios Joy" reportedly sold to Greek buyers


M/V “CHIOS JOY” - 68,364 Mtdw on 13.22 m, Blt 1989 Hyundai, Class: LR, SS 07/2014 DD 07/2012, 7 Holds/7 Hatches, 80,428/76405 cbm Grain/Bale, Cranes 4x25t, Burmeister & Wain 10,192 BHP -  has been sold for US $ 6,500,000 to Greek buyers with DD due, according to broker reports.

In the containerships sector, m.v. “SUDMUHLE” - 9,907 Mtdw on 7.40 m, Blt 2008 Zhejiang Zhenxing, 3 Holds, 700 TEU, Pielstick, 4,400 KW - has been sold for US $ 2,000,000 to Greek buyers.

In addition to the announcement covering three newbuilding units made by Ultrabulk on March 19th, Ultrabulk now confirms having added five further units to its long term fleet.The new units are one additional 61,000tdw Supramax bulker to be built at a Japanese yardand scheduled for delivery 2016, joined by another 81,000tdw Kamsarmax bulker for delivery in 2015.
Chinese-based Yangzhou Guoyu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (YGS) has secured an order from Norwegian shipowner Axel C. Eitzen for the construction of up to nine handysize dry bulk carriers.

A.M. Nomikos of Greece has acquired bulk carrier TANGO QUEEN (dwt 55,649 blt 2007 Japan) at the price of USD 20.1 million, according to broker reports.
Greek owner Laskaridis Shipping has ordered four 64,000dwt bulkers and 2 (+2) kamsarmax bulkers at Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry. Prior to these orders, Laskaridis exercised existing options for two 64,000dwt bulkers and signed a resale contract with Penglai Zhongbai for two panamax bulkers.
