Angelicoussis Shipping Group has ordered up to eight more vessels at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in a deal reportedly worth around one billion-dollars.
Maran Gas Maritime ordered a pair of 173,400 cu m LNG carriers with options for up to two additional vessels.
The two firm vessels, which are for delivery in the second half of 2019, are similar to another eight that the company still has on order at DSME and will bring its current LNG newbuilding orderbook to 13 in all, with three vessels also being on order at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.
Furthermore, Maran Tankers, ordered another two firm 318,850 dwt VLCCs, plus two separate options.
The move brings to eight the company’s firm VLCC orderbook at DSME, as well as six suezmaxes.
