Carnival Corp. Q3 adjusted earnings Beat Estimates

Carnival Corp. released a profit for its third quarter that rose from the same period last year.

The company’s profit came in at $1.71 billion, or $2.41 per share. This compares with $1.33 billion, or $1.83 per share, in last year’s third quarter.

Excluding items, Carnival Corp. reported adjusted earnings of $1.67 billion or $2.36 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $2.32 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose 5.8% to $5.84 billion from $5.52 billion last year.
