Cosco Shipping Ports sees June throughput increase

Cosco Shipping Ports (CSP) saw its overall throughput rising 14% in June to 7.4m TEU from 6.5m TEU in the previous corresponding period.

Growth was driven primarily by overseas ports, which saw throughput rise to 1.5m TEU from 1.1m TEU previously.

Ports on the Southeast and Southwest coasts saw throughput grow by 15% and 30% respectively.

Between the main terminals of the Chinese group in the Mediterranean, in the first six months of the 2017 Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT) has moved beyond 1.7 million TEU (+3.8%).
