Global Maritime has won a contract with Equinor worth an estimated Nkr60-80M (US$7-10M).
The contract covers further work on Equinor’s Njord Field and will see Global Maritime overseeing project management, engineering, equipment procurement and offshore management.
Work scheduled for 2019 includes pre-installing 15 mooring lines for the Njord A and Njord B platforms including 10 suction anchors; reconnecting the Njord B submerged turret loading (STL) buoy and mooring; lifting and supporting seven flowlines at Njord A; and recovering a complete mooring line at Njord A including the suction anchor.
The contract also covers towing and reconnecting both Njord A and Njord B in 2020. Equinor, formerly known as Statoil, has chartered the newbuild deepwater installation vessel Island Victory for Global Maritime’s use in the 2019 campaign.
