Greek Power Corp to make first two LNG orders

Greece’s State-run Public Power Corp. (PPC) is ready to place its first-ever orders for liquefied natural gas (LNG) over the summer from the Revythoussa isle terminal off Piraeus, a move aimed to reduce power generation costs, Naftemporiki reports.

The ATHEX-listed utility’s board of directors approved two orders of 75K square meters each, from the natural gas transmission system operator’s (DES.FA) complex on the islet on July 8 and July 24.
