Atlas Maritime, owned by Leo Patitsas, announced the completion of the keel laying ceremony for a ship being built at Daehan Shipbuilding (DHSC) in South Korea.
In a related post, the company said: “We are extremely proud to announce that the keel laying of the first block of HN5107 Arctic Star, one of our eight 157,000 dwt Suezmaxes, was successfully completed in January 2026.”
This particular ship is being built within the framework of Atlas Maritime’s strategic partnership with European Maritime Finance (EMF).
The new Suezmaxes will be equipped with dual-fuel engines, capable of burning LNG, underlining the company’s commitment to complying with modern requirements of green shipping.
