According to TradeWinds, Danaos has made its first acquisition of a capsize vessel since 2024.
The maritime news outlet cites ship management sources in Piraeus identifying Danaos as the new owner of the 182,400-dwt Hebei No 1 (built 2009).
The vessel was reported as sold by Hebei Ocean Shipping Co (Hosco) earlier this month to undisclosed buyers.
