Polys Hajioannou has reportedly proceeded with an investment in the tanker market, through his private company Safety Management Overseas.
The agreement, which according to reports is valued at 86 million dollars, concerns two newly built MR tankers, with a capacity of 50,000 dwt, being constructed by China’s Cosco Heavy Industry.
The two vessels, with hull numbers N1239 and N1241, are expected to be delivered in the summer and autumn of 2027, respectively.
