Wuhu Shipyard secures 2+2 64,500 DWT Bulk Carrier contract with Turkey’s Aqmaris

On January 6th, Chinese shipbuilder Wuhu Shipyard successfully signed a contract with Turkish company Aqmaris for the construction of 2+2 64,500 DWT bulk carriers.

At the signing ceremony, the Chairman of Turkish shipowner Aqmaris, Zhang Zhao, Chairman of Wuhu Shipyard, and Zhu Qi, General Manager of Yingxing Financial Leasing (Anhui), jointly attended and completed the signing.

This 64,500 DWT bulk carrier adopts the new-generation Dolphin-class Supramax bulk carrier design. The vessel type aligns with the shipping industry’s low-carbon and digitalization trends, optimized for the latest international environmental regulations and navigation requirements. It features distinct characteristics of safety, efficiency, environmental sustainability and intelligence.
