d’Amico International Shipping has announced the purchase of two new Medium Range 2 product tanker vessels. The transaction was carried out by its subsidiary d’Amico Tankers D.A.C., which exercised the options provided for in the shipbuilding contract signed in January 2026 with China’s Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding.
The two new units, each valued at USD45.4 million, are expected to join the fleet in August and October 2029. Simultaneously, d’Amico Tankers has secured the option to acquire two additional MR2s with the same technical specifications, to be exercised by March 2026.
