DryDel Shipping, owned by Kostas Delaportas, celebrated the naming and delivery ceremony of its new vessel Super Dry, built by OSHIMA SHIPBUILDING CO., LTD.
The vessel is a next-generation 42,500 dwt Handymax of ECO design, offering enhanced operational flexibility and optimized performance. This delivery marks the first of four Japanese newbuildings scheduled to join the company’s fleet during the first half of 2026, further strengthening its presence in the dry bulk market.
The fleet renewal program is progressing at a strong pace, with the average fleet age expected to fall below 3.5 years. DryDel has maintained a longstanding relationship with Japanese shipyards for more than 15 years, placing strong emphasis on quality, reliability and long-term partnerships.
