Maran Tankers receives new tanker

Maran Tankers Management, a member of the Angelicoussis Group under the leadership of Maria Angelicoussis, has announced the addition of the new Suezmax tanker Maran Morpheus to its fleet.

The vessel, with a capacity of 155,500 dwt, was built at New Times Shipbuilding in Jiangsu province, China, incorporating advanced design solutions with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental performance.

Equipped with a dual-fuel engine, the Maran Morpheus can operate on both LNG and conventional fuels, significantly reducing emissions. The addition of the new vessel further strengthens Maran Tankers’ fleet with technologically advanced ships, reaffirming the Group’s strategy of investing in sustainable and efficient shipping.

“We thank all teams involved for their contribution to this successful delivery and wish Maran Morpheus and her crew fair winds and calm seas,” the company said in a statement.
