Hanwha Ocean Co., a South Korean shipbuilder, said Tuesday it has won a 477.8 billion-won (US$349 million) contract to build three very large gas carriers (VLGCs) for a client in Oceania.
The vessels are scheduled to be delivered to the unidentified client by Dec. 6, 2030, the company said in a regulatory filing.
With the latest contract, Hanwha Ocean has secured orders worth a combined $5.94 billion for 32 vessels, including six liquefied natural gas carriers and 17 very large crude carriers.
