Alpha Gas, a member of the shipping group controlled by Anna Angelicoussis’ interests, announced in a post that it had successfully completed the dry-docking of its LNG carrier Energy Intelligence at Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE).
The company attributed the successful completion of the work to teamwork, disciplined execution and a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
The Energy Intelligence is a 173,400-cubic-metre LNG carrier built in 2021 at South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, now Hanwha Ocean. The vessel flies the Marshall Islands flag, is classed by Lloyd’s Register and is equipped with an ME-GI propulsion system.
It was delivered to Alpha Gas on June 30, 2021, and is one of the modern LNG carriers in the company’s fleet. A few days before the completion of the dry-docking, Alpha Gas executives visited the vessel at MMHE to monitor the progress of the work and the technical interventions first-hand.
