Braemar Plc, a leading provider of expert chartering, investment and risk management advice to the shipping and energy markets, is pleased to announce a new leadership structure for its Tankers business with Stephen Danby appointed as Global Head of Tankers.
Stephen joined ACM Shipbroking in 2011 and moved across to Braemar when the two businesses merged in 2014. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of Braemar’s Tankers division, previously leading the Products desk before taking responsibility for the London Tankers business.
As Global Head of Tankers, Stephen will lead Braemar’s global tanker strategy across all key markets and regions, responsible for driving commercial performance and further strengthening the Group’s position and client relationships globally. Stephen will continue to remain directly involved in the spot market.
Jack Mitchell and Wictor Mansson are promoted to Tanker Directors recognising their leadership across the wider tankers platform. Jack, who joined Braemar in 2015, has made a significant contribution to the Tanker Desk’s continued growth, helping build its market presence and deepen client engagement. Wictor, with more than 20 years across the products and crude markets, continues to head up the VLCC desk.
Stephen leads a team of highly experienced Tanker Directors covering Braemar’s regional markets:
- The Americas: Matt Corey and JB Corey
- Europe: Jack Mitchell, Lalo Pacheco and Wictor Mansson
- East of Suez: Tim Ogden and Jack Herron
- India: Hiren Shah
Together the team gives Braemar coverage across every major tanker sector and region.
Today’s changes follow a series of senior hires and internal promotions over the past nine months as Braemar continues to build out its global tanker platform.
