MSC has reportedly ordered an additional eight 11,500 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ships at Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry Co., Ltd. (Jinglu Shipyard). An initial eight ships were ordered in 2024, with four additional options for vessels of the same type.
The eight newly ordered vessels are set to cost approximately USD 140 million, with deliveries scheduled to commence by 2029.
