Celestyal has unveiled its first dedicated Western Mediterranean programme, introducing a new 14-night voyage that combines Spain, Portugal, Morocco and France.

The deployment, sailing onboard the 1360-guest Celestyal Discovery, marks a significant milestone for the cruise line with the programme including 14 maiden calls across the region.

The ‘Mediterranean Odyssey: Spain, Portugal & Morocco’ itinerary includes overnight stays in both Barcelona (Tarragona) and Lisbon, extended time in select ports and visits to lesser-known destinations.

The cruise will call at Malaga, Spain, with a late stay; Gibraltar; Casablanca, Morocco, with a late stay; Cadiz, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal, overnight; Tangier, Morocco; Valencia, Spain; Palma, Mallorca; Sète, France; and Barcelona (Tarragona), overnight. Prices start from € 1.069 pp.

The itinerary can be split as a seven-night voyage sailing either Barcelona (Tarragona) to Lisbon or Lisbon to Barcelona (Tarragona). Prices start from € 639 pp.

The Western Mediterranean programme will be complemented by two eight-night ‘Mediterranean Riviera’ repositioning voyages between Athens and Barcelona (Tarragona), allowing guests to sail between the Eastern and Western Mediterranean. Sailing from Athens, the cruise will call at Kusadasi, Turkey; Messina, Sicily; Naples, Italy; Civitavecchia, Italy, with a late stay; Nice, France; and Barcelona (Tarragona), Spain, including an overnight in the city. The return voyage will operate in reverse. Prices start from € 729 pp.

Guests can add the eight-night ‘Mediterranean Riviera’ sailing to the ‘Mediterranean Odyssey’ to create a 22-night voyage, or combine this with an existing four-night ‘Iconic Greek Islands’ sailing for a 26-night special voyage.

All fares include meals, soft drinks, WiFi, port fees and gratuities.

Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer at Celestyal, said: “For more than a decade, we’ve become known for delivering authentic and immersive experiences across the Greek Islands and Eastern Mediterranean. The time is now right for us to expand west and bring that same philosophy to a new collection of destinations.

“Rather than simply visiting the headline ports, we’ve carefully designed these itineraries to showcase the true character of the Western Mediterranean. Alongside the overnight stays in Barcelona and Lisbon we’ve included hidden gems such as Sète and extended time ashore, allowing guests to connect even more with the destinations they visit.

“Whether guests choose a seven-night voyage between Barcelona and Lisbon, or our flagship 14-night Mediterranean Odyssey, they’ll experience the authentic Western Mediterranean through the eyes of a cruise line that has always placed destinations at the heart of the journey.”

For the 2026/27 winter programme, Celestyal Discovery will sail from her homeport in Athens to Barcelona on November 28, 2026. She will then operate two ‘Mediterranean Odyssey’, voyages before her return repositioning departing January 2, 2027.

For the 2027/28 winter programme, the first repositioning will depart Athens on November 19, 2027. The ship will then operate six ‘Mediterranean Odyssey’ voyages, before her return repositioning departing Barcelona (Tarragona) on February 19, 2028.

Sailings for the winter 2026/27 and winter 2027/28 seasons are available for booking from July 1, 2026.

The line recently confirmed the extension of its current Eastern Mediterranean season following the cancellation of the Arabian Gulf season for winter 2026/27.

Plans for winter 2027/28 on Celestyal Journey will be announced in due course.
