Navios Maritime Partners, controlled by Angeliki Frangou, is focusing on disciplined capital allocation, fleet diversification and maintaining a strong balance sheet in a shipping market where high valuations leave little room for any deviation from positive expectations.
This was highlighted by Stratos Desypris, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Navios Partners, at the 28th Marine Money Greek Ship Finance Forum. “This is a market that is priced for perfection,” he said, noting that vessel values, asset prices and freight rates all reflect expectations that favourable conditions will persist.
He also noted that global trade is not contracting, but that a new architecture of international trade routes is taking shape.
