According to broker reports, Capital Maritime has placed an order for two 8,800 TEU newbuildings in South Korea.
Specifically, the company is said to be behind the two LNG dual-fuel units set to be built at HD Hyundai Samho. The order is worth approximately USD 140 million and the vessels are set to be delivered in 2028.
The ships are reportedly optional slots as part of the company’s broader fleet expansion.
