Shipbuilding conglomerate Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) announced on 23 March that it had secured a contract for the construction of two vessels, valued at approximately US$514M, with deliveries scheduled through September 2028.
While SHI identified the counterparty as an undisclosed Oceania-based owner, shipbroking and market sources have linked Celsius to the order. The company, which has been approached for comment, was also connected in February to a separate order for a single LNG carrier at the same yard, scheduled to join the fleet in May 2028.
