d’Amico International Shipping S.A., an international marine transportation company operating in the product tanker market, announces that its operating subsidiary d’Amico Tankers D.A.C., signed a memorandum of agreement for the sale of the MT Glenda Meryl, a 47,200 dwt MR product tanker vessel, built in 2011 by Hyundai Mipo, South Korea, for a total consideration of US$19.5 million, with delivery to the buyers before the end of December 2025.

Thanks to this transaction d’Amico Tankers will sell the oldest vessel in its fleet and will generate approximately US$14.5 million in cash upon her delivery to the buyers, net of commissions, and the reimbursement of her residual bank debt outstanding.

As of today, DIS’ fleet comprises 31 double-hulled product tankers (MR, Handysize and LR1, of which 29 owned, and 2 bareboat chartered-in), with an average age of approximately 9.7 years.

Carlos di Mottola, Chief Executive Officer of d’Amico International Shipping, stated:

“I am pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement for the sale of MT Glenda Meryl, the oldest vessel in our fleet, built in 2011; through this transaction, as well as the sale of her two sister ships earlier this year, the proportion of DIS’ fleet which is eco-design will reach 93% by year-end. It represents another important milestone in the execution of our strategy to operate a modern, fuel-efficient fleet, supporting both our sustainability objectives and our profitability.”
