Diana Shipping, a global shipping company specializing in the ownership and bareboat
charter-in of dry bulk vessels, announced that, through a separate
wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with China
Resource Chartering Limited, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v
Maera. The gross charter rate is US$8,400 per day, minus a 5.00% commission paid
to third parties, for a period until minimum September 20, 2025 up to maximum
November 20, 2025. The charter commenced on December 15, 2024.
The “Maera” is a 75,403 dwt Kamsarmax dry bulk vessel built in 2013.
The employment of “Maera” is anticipated to generate approximately US$2.31
million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
