Evalend Shipping, controlled by Kriton Lentoudis, is further strengthening its fleet.According to industry sources, the shipping company has renewed its partnership with the Yangzijiang shipyard with a new order. More specifically, the two parties signed a construction contract for four LR1 tankers, with a capacity of 73,500 dwt.
Each ship is priced at approximately $55 million, bringing the total value of the four newbuilds to about $220 million. Deliveries are scheduled to take place sequentially from March to September 2028.
