“Tomorrow’s shipping needs a human face, technology and integrity”, was the message of the annual event “Good seas with health and safety”, held on Tuesday, April 8 at the Zappeion Megaron by Daskalakis congress & trv.
The event was attended by representatives of Greece’s largest ship-owning groups, the academic community and the country’s political leadership, who presented new information under the coordination of leading journalists from state broadcaster ERT and other media outlets.
The conference proceedings were divided into three different thematic panels:
- Health, safety, seafarers
- New Technologies in shipping
- Towage, Shipbuilding in Greece
The event was attended and welcomed by the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Ms. Domna Michailidou, the President of the Hellenic Maritime Association, Mr. George Patoulis, the Director of Maritime Affairs of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Mr. Spanos, Representatives of the Hellenic Maritime Academy and the Naval Cadet School, Ms. Gana from the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Maritime Academy, Mr. Kamarinakis, the Vice President of ELIME, Mr. Mytilineos, the Commander of the Hellenic Maritime Academy of Aspropyrgos, Mr. Tsavliris from the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Maritime Chamber, the Deputy Governor of Attica, Ms. Angelaki, the Deputy Mayor of Athens, Mr. Giannaros, the President of the Piraeus Maritime Committee, Mr. Chrysofakis, the President of Green Awards, Mr. Mattheou, several Professors of the University of Athens, Mr. Mavrikos from the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Shipowners’ Association and many traditional shipowners.
Greetings were sent by the President of the Greek Shipowners’ Association, Mr. George Sp. Alexandratos.

The event was closed by the Aktaiokrites dance club.
