Lavinia Tankers, controlled by Panos Laskaridis, has exercised an additional option for April, placing a new order for a 157,000 dwt suezmax tanker at Daehan Shipbuilding, with delivery scheduled for July 2029.
Following this latest agreement, Daehan has secured a total of 13 new vessel orders since the beginning of the year, already exceeding its annual target by the end of the first quarter.
Lavinia Tankers is the tanker arm of Laskaridis Shipping / Lavinia Corp, which manages one of the largest Greek-owned fleets, with a presence across bulk carriers, tankers and refrigerated vessels (reefers). Lavinia currently operates a fleet of 14 tankers, primarily MR tankers and smaller units, while simultaneously executing a newbuilding program for five additional vessels.
