Navios Maritime linked to $460m newbuilding order at HJ Heavy

According to media reports, HJ Heavy Industries has secured a $460 million contract from Navios Maritime Partners for four methanol-ready 8,000 TEU container ships, with two firm orders and two options.

The Greek shipping company is close to signing up for four conventional marine fuel neo-panamaxes at the Busan-based shipyard, multiple shipbuilding sources told TradeWinds.

Market sources estimate the price at around $110 million per ship, with deliveries expected between 2026 and 2027.
