Pilbara Ports delivered a total monthly throughput of 69.3 million tonnes (Mt) during September 2026.
This was a one per cent increase compared to September 2025.
The Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 49.6Mt, of which 48.9Mt was iron ore exports. This was a one per cent increase compared to September 2025.
Imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 174,000 tonnes, a decrease of 19 per cent compared to September 2025.
The Port of Dampier delivered a total throughput of 15.2Mt, a one per cent increase from September 2025.
Imports through the Port of Dampier totalled 132,000 tonnes, resulting in a 24 per cent increase from September 2025.
Several factors influence the fluctuation of throughput, including changes in market conditions, weather conditions, port maintenance operations and customer needs.
