A working meeting with the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vassilis Kikilias, was held on Tuesday by the President and CEO of the Port of Patras S.A., Panagiotis Anastasopoulos, within the framework of the ongoing institutional dialogue for the strategic development of the port of Patras.

The development priorities of the Organization were discussed in detail, with emphasis on the Patradise Marina project, which constitutes a mature and emblematic investment for maritime tourism, strengthening the international image of Patras and creating significant economic and social benefits for the wider region.

Particular emphasis was also placed on the dynamic development of the cruise industry, with the port of Patras now claiming an active role on the map of the Eastern Mediterranean, taking advantage of the new port infrastructure, its strategic geographical location and its connection to the mainland.

At the same time, the new works and projects of the port were presented, which acquire even greater added value after the announcement of the port’s railway connection, a development that transforms the Port of Patras into a modern multimodal hub for transport, logistics, tourism and sustainable development.
