The global leadership of Greek shipping was highlighted at the 22nd Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards
In a period of strong challenges at the international level and in a world that is changing at very high speeds, the Greek shipping community has proven once again that it has all the guarantees to maintain its global dominance in the years to come.
With leading figures, maritime DNA, big deals, technological superiority, but also the new generation that is already leaving its own mark on the industry.
The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vasilis Kikilias, emphasized that Greek shipping controls 20% of the global transport capacity, while the Greek economy holds only 2% of the European Union’s GDP, also noting that shipping can be a key axis for strengthening Europe’s competitiveness.
