Torm acquires majority stake in scrubber maker

TORM has acquired a 75% ownership staketa in scrubber supplier ME Production (MEP).

MEP owner and founder, Jens Peter Faldt will retain the remaining 25% ownership.

Over three years ago, the two companies formed a JV partnership to produce scrubbers and other energy reduction equipment, enabling TORM to install scrubbers on more than 50 vessels developed and produced by MEP or the JV.
