Standard Chartered extends USD 584 million loan to HMM

The HMM Dublin, the largest container ship in the world in the port of Hamburg. A ship for the transport of goods which reflects the globilisation and the upswing.

HMM has secured a US$584 million facility from Standard Chartered to finance the acquisition of eight 16,000 TEU (20-foot equivalent unit) containerships.

The loan was guaranteed by the Korea Ocean Business Corporation.

All the vessels, built at the Ulsan shipyard of Hyundai Heavy Industries, have been delivered by the end of June this year.
